¿Quiénes pueden aplicar? 

Panamanian companies with at least 3 national employees and a maximum of 10 may sponsor a foreigner to obtain this Residence Permit. 


[ Conditions to Obtain this Permit ]

The Panamanian company must have between 3 and 10 national employees earning at least the minimum wage. Only one foreigner is allowed per company, with a minimum salary of $1,000 per month.

International talent within reach

This permit allows Panamanian companies to temporarily hire a foreign professional who brings specific skills.

Extendable Validity

The initial visa is for 1 year, but it can be renewed up to 4 more times, allowing for employment for up to 5 consecutive years.

Work Permit

This residence permit implies a work permit with the contracting company. The validity is for 1 year and is renewable annually. This work permit is mandatory.

  1. Power and Application (notarized). The power must include the names and nationalities of the parents.
  2. Three (3) photographs.
  3. Properly certified copy of the passport (Notary or corresponding authorities).
  4. Criminal Record Certificate (if of legal age).
  5. Health Certificate.
  6. Affidavit of Personal Background Form.
  7. Certified Check for B/.250.00 in favor of the National Treasury.
  8. Certified Check for B.800.00 in favor of the National Migration Service.
  9. Work Permit and copy of ID card.
  10. Employment contract endorsed by the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development in favor of the interested party.
  11. Letter of Employment on company letterhead, signed by the legal representative of the contracting company.
  12. Copy of the Company's Operations Notice.
  13. Copy of the certification from the Public Registry of the company.
  14. National tax clearance certificate of the company.

No, the Marrakech Agreement establishes a maximum of 5 years of employment for foreigners. After that period, it is not possible to continue renewing this permit.

The applicant may include their spouse and children in this Permit.
