Application Alternatives

The tourist visa can be requested at the Consulate of Panama in your country of residence or at the National Migration Service in Panama through a lawyer.

Exceptions to the tourist visa

If the tourist holds a stamped tourist or residence visa issued by Canada, the United States of America, the Commonwealth of Australia, the Republic of Korea, the State of Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Republic of Singapore, and any of the States that make up the European Union, they do not require a tourist visa to enter Panama, provided they have already used that visa.

Processing Times

The processing times are faster if the application is made through the consular route. Submitting the application to the National Migration Service can take between 3 and 6 months.
