This assumption is met when the resident engages in a permitted income-generating activity on their own.

This assumption is met when the resident maintains an employment relationship with an employer through a work contract, under dependency.


Renewal option

If the resident has already obtained a work permit under the friendly countries category and it is expired or about to expire, they can request a renewal.

Self-Employed Workers

1. Affiliation document obtained after filling out the National Migrant Labor Registry.

2. Notarized Power of Attorney to an attorney for representation in the Procedure.

3. Application for a work permit.

4. Immigration status issued by the National Migration Service. It must be presented with B./8 in stamps.

5. Copy of Passport General Information.

6. Copy of the processing card, residence card, provisional or permanent.

7. Certified copy of the resolution issued by the SNM that approves your residence permit.

8. Notice of operations.

9. Proof of registration in the RUC.


Employees


1. Affiliation document obtained after filling out the National Migrant Labor Registry.

2. Notarized Power of Attorney to an attorney for representation in the Procedure. and Notarized Power of Attorney of the contracting company.

3. Application for a work permit.

4. Immigration status issued by the National Migration Service. It must be presented with B./8 in stamps.

5. Copy of Passport General Information.

6. Copy of the processing card, residence card, provisional or permanent.

7. Employment contract registered with MITRADEL.

8. CRP of the Contracting Company.

9. Notice of Operations of the contracting company.

10. Copy of the Social Security form for companies with 20 or fewer employees.

11. Certification of the CSS payroll for companies with more than 20 employees.

The first Work Permit has a duration of 2 years and the extensions are for 3 years.
